DIY Swiss Army Knife Leather Sheath
I have worked with most materials, from glass to wood, metal and recently paracord, but one material was still left on my to-do list: leather. I found an old leather sheath in the garage and recycled it.
I don’t know where people who do this for a living buy leather because I haven’t been able to find anywhere that sells it in Norway. Luckily, there was a knife-less leather sheath in the garage which screamed for attention. I removed the stitches and got a piece of leather just the right size for a Swiss Army Knife sheath. I made a wooden stand-in for the knife, soaked the leather and used some clamps to form the leather around the wooden model. I let it dry, then used my Dremel to make holes all around the edge. I secured one side with leftover LEDs of all things, and started stitching the other side together using some 3mm paracord. I then stitched the other side and made a belt loop, cut around the stitches and ended up with a very usable first leather project.
