Paracord Lanyards
Yeah yeah yeah, another multitool.org thread I found that lead me to make something new. This time it helped me discover the awesomeness of paracord (thin nylon rope). Turns out you can make lanyards from it.
I’m using a knot called the Cobra Stitch, and the double version called the King Cobra Stitch. I learned those from watching videos on this site. The “master of all paracord”, Stormdrane, also deserves a plug, and he can be found here. The instructions on the first link basically describes the process so well that I don’t feel I have to. I’ll just say that I’ve now made 3 small lanyards and one large detachable lanyard and I love the result you get from such a cheap material. I’ve ordered some colored paracord from this webshop and that should make the results even more awesome. The resulting big lanyard is a hell of an upgrade from the cheap ribbon style lanyard that I salvaged the plastic clip-lock from.
