Sure a nice new iPhone 3GS brighten up the day, but the thing I’ve been really waiting for a couple of weeks now is a $1 water bottle carabiner hook.

With the exception of a energy drink when I need to stay awake or a cup of hot chocolate at work, all I ever drink is water. I have three 1.5 liter bottles that I fill half way with water and freeze them and then fill them up with water to get it ice cold. At school I of course don’t have those with me, but I always carry a 0.5 liter bottle of water with me. “Carry” being the key word in that sentence. I don’t want to put it in my laptop bag due to fear of spilling, so there hasn’t really been any alternative to carrying it…until I saw this on DealExtreme.

The concept is simple: it’s a carabiner with a metal hook that clips onto a standard sized bottle neck so you can hang the entire bottle somewhere. It’s perfect for my use since I can hang the bottle on my laptop bag so I don’t have to carry it while also keeping an eye on it so it doesn’t spill. Maybe a weird thing to be so obsessed about, but it’s one of those things where you see it and you go “I’ve needed that for 10 years”.
