DIY Elastic Dog Leash Expander
I read a forum thread online about alstic dog leashes and got interested. Thing is, we already have a flexi band (one of those that winds back into the handle) and don’t want a new leash alltogether, so I was looking for a bungee leash expander.
I went to the hardware store and bought some straps for securing cargo and a couple of small hose clips. I found a hook for the leash and a metal ring for the other end of the expander, tied a knot around each and secured the ends with the hose clips. I also added some epoxy glue to make it extra strong. The resulting little add on doesn’t help pulling that much, however it’s very effective at reducing sudden jerks when the dog decides to take off in a hurry, which is equally as nice as reduced pulling (have a anti pull harness on the way from the states anyways).
